What is Ridercom?
Ridercom is a live voice channel app designed for motorcycle riders. It lets you create or join voice channels so you can communicate with your riding group in real time — hands-free, like a walkie-talkie.
Is Ridercom free to use?
Yes, Ridercom is completely free to download and use.
Which platforms is Ridercom available on?
Ridercom is available on both Android and iOS devices.
Account
How do I sign up?
You can sign in using your Google account or Apple ID. No separate registration is needed — just tap "Continue with Google" or "Continue with Apple" and you're in.
Can I change my display name or profile photo?
Yes. You can update your display name and profile photo from within the app at any time.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings and tap "Delete Account". This will permanently remove all your data. You can also email us at admin@pplsttech.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request". See our Data Deletion Policy for full details.
Voice Channels
How do I create a voice channel?
Tap the "Create Channel" button, give it a name, and you're live. A unique channel code will be generated that you can share with others so they can join.
How do I join an existing channel?
Enter the channel code shared by the channel creator and tap "Join". You'll be connected to the live voice channel instantly.
Are voice conversations recorded?
No. Ridercom never records or stores any voice audio. All voice communication happens in real time and is not saved anywhere.
Can I mute myself in a channel?
Yes. Tap the mute button while in a channel to mute your microphone. Other participants will see that you are muted.
What happens if I lose connection during a ride?
Ridercom will automatically try to rejoin your last active channel when you reopen the app. Your riding group won't miss a beat.
Audio & Bluetooth
Does Ridercom work with Bluetooth headsets?
Yes. When a Bluetooth audio device is connected, Ridercom will automatically route audio through it — both output and microphone input.
Can I switch between Bluetooth and phone speaker?
When Bluetooth is connected, audio is routed through the Bluetooth device. You can switch to the phone speaker when no Bluetooth device is connected by tapping the audio route button in the channel.
Follow Me (Live Location)
What is Follow Me?
Follow Me lets you share your live location with riders who follow you. They can see your real-time position on a map, along with a trail of your route, your speed, battery level, and signal strength.
How do I follow another rider?
Go to the Follow tab, search for a rider by name, and send a follow request. Once they accept, you'll see their live location on the map.
What is navigation view?
Navigation view gives you a 3D ride-along perspective centered on your own position and heading — like turn-by-turn navigation. The followed rider's marker and route trail are visible ahead so you can follow their path.
Does location sharing work in the background?
Yes. When you enable location sharing, Ridercom continues to share your position even when the app is in the background. On Android, a foreground service notification is shown. On iOS, the background location indicator appears in the status bar.
What location permissions does Ridercom need?
Ridercom requests "While Using the App" location permission to show the map and your position. For reliable background location sharing during rides, it also requests "Always" location permission. You can manage these permissions in your device settings at any time.
Is my location stored permanently?
No. Your live location and route trail are stored temporarily in real time while you are actively sharing. When you stop sharing or close the app, all location data is automatically deleted. We do not keep any location history.
Privacy & Data
What data does Ridercom collect?
We collect only what's needed to run the app: your name, email, profile photo, and channel activity. When you use the Follow Me feature, your live location is shared temporarily with your followers. We do not collect your contacts, messages, or voice recordings. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Does Ridercom track my location?
Ridercom only accesses your location when you actively use the Follow Me feature. Your location is shared in real time with your followers and is automatically deleted when you stop sharing. We do not store location history or track you in the background without your knowledge.
How do I request my data to be deleted?
You can delete your account directly in the app under Settings, or email us at admin@pplsttech.com. In-app deletion is immediate. Email requests are processed within 7 business days.
